Socinga Africa — Enterprise Platform
Architected and delivered the full enterprise web platform for one of Southern Africa's leading diversified financial services groups.

The Brief
Socinga Africa required a flagship digital presence that reflected the scale and credibility of a diversified financial services group operating across mining, insurance, and capital markets. The existing digital footprint was fragmented and failed to communicate the group's full capability to institutional clients and investors.
I was engaged to architect the entire platform from the ground up — information architecture, visual system, content strategy, and technical infrastructure — with a mandate to deliver something that would hold its own against any international financial services brand.
The engagement ran across multiple months and covered the corporate platform, the Mining Hub subsidiary platform, and the integration of the two into a coherent group digital identity.
The Approach
How I approached this engagement.
Discovery and Architecture
I began with a structured discovery phase covering stakeholder goals, audience segments, competitive positioning, and the technical constraints of the group's existing infrastructure.
Information Architecture
I designed the full site map and content hierarchy before writing a single line of code, ensuring every page had a defined purpose, audience, and conversion goal.
Visual System Design
I developed the Archival Index visual language — deep navy, precision gold, zero border-radius — as a system that communicates gravitas without sacrificing usability.
Next.js Engineering
I built the platform on Next.js 15 with TypeScript strict mode, Tailwind CSS, and Payload CMS, deployed to Cloudflare Pages for sub-second global load times.
Content Strategy
I structured and wrote the core content for the corporate platform, ensuring every page addressed the specific questions institutional visitors arrive with.
Performance and SEO
I implemented full technical SEO, structured data, Core Web Vitals optimisation, and a sitemap architecture designed to compound in search authority over time.
