I build asset management platforms, investor-facing portals, and operational technology systems for mining operations across Africa — from geological data dashboards to stakeholder communication infrastructure.
What This Involves
Each component is designed to generate compounding results over time — not isolated deliverables that sit idle.
Custom platforms for tracking mineral assets, geological data, operational status, and investment valuations across multiple sites.
Professional, data-rich digital presences that present mining assets to investors, partners, and regulatory bodies with clarity and credibility.
Real-time operational monitoring, production tracking, and safety compliance dashboards tailored to mine-site requirements.
Digital infrastructure for community engagement, environmental reporting, and regulatory documentation.
Secure systems for mining licences, geological surveys, environmental impact assessments, and compliance documentation.
Commodity tracking, competitive analysis, and market positioning tools designed for mining enterprise decision-makers.
Every engagement follows a structured, outcome-focused framework.
An honest, direct dialogue to establish whether the engagement makes sense for both parties. I listen, assess, and tell you plainly whether I am the right person to help.
A structured assessment producing a clear picture of what needs to be built, what it involves, and what it will cost. No surprises.
Projects scoped and delivered against defined outcomes. You have direct access to me throughout — no hand-offs, no disappearing acts.
Mining operations across Africa face a particular digital infrastructure challenge that extractive industries in developed markets do not: the need to maintain a credible, investor-grade digital presence whilst operating in environments where connectivity, technical resources, and institutional familiarity with modern digital tools are all constrained. I have worked with mining operations at various scales — from junior explorers presenting their first assets to the investment community, to established mid-tier producers managing complex multi-site portfolios. The digital requirements differ by scale, but the underlying principle is consistent: the quality of your digital infrastructure signals the quality of your operation to every audience that matters. Investors form judgements about management competence from the clarity and professionalism of your investor relations platforms. Regulators assess transparency from the quality of your environmental and compliance reporting infrastructure. Partners and off-take counterparties evaluate operational sophistication from your asset management and operational data systems. These are not vanity considerations — they are commercial realities.
The clearest pattern I see across mining clients is a gap between the sophistication of their operational geology and the sophistication of their digital systems. World-class resource estimates are presented in PDF decks emailed from generic accounts. Operational monitoring data lives in spreadsheets. Investor updates go out as plain-text emails. The infrastructure does not match the asset. Asset management platforms solve the first problem. A properly built digital platform that presents resource estimates, reserve updates, production data, and operational status in real time — with appropriate access controls for different user classes — gives investors, partners, and management a single authoritative source of truth. Investor-facing digital presence solves the second. A mining company's public website is its primary investor relations channel for anyone who has not already been introduced through a broker or advisor. If it loads slowly, looks dated, or presents information inconsistently, it creates doubt. If it presents information clearly, with supporting data, in a professionally designed environment, it builds confidence. Operational dashboards solve the third. Connecting mine-site operational data to a centralised monitoring and reporting system reduces the manual overhead of compiling operational reports and gives management real-time visibility into production, safety, and compliance status across multiple sites.

Yes. Junior explorers typically need investor-facing digital presence and a clear narrative around their exploration programme. Established producers typically need more sophisticated operational data systems, investor portals, and compliance reporting infrastructure. The scope differs but the underlying requirement — credible, professional digital infrastructure — is the same at every stage.
This is a real constraint in mine-site environments. I build systems with offline capability, progressive web app architecture, and data synchronisation when connectivity is restored. For operational monitoring specifically, I assess the connectivity reality at each site before recommending an architecture.
Mining data is commercially sensitive and in some jurisdictions subject to confidentiality obligations. I build systems with role-based access controls, audit logging, encrypted storage, and restricted public access. Investor portals use authenticated access with session management. Sensitive geological data never appears in publicly accessible systems without explicit authorisation.
Integration depends on what APIs or export capabilities your existing systems expose. Industry systems like Micromine, Leapfrog, and various ERP platforms have different integration options. I assess the available integration paths and recommend the most reliable approach — whether that is a direct API connection, a scheduled data export, or a middleware layer.
