The Brief
Cineterns is an agentic AI directory prototype for the film and television industry — a platform that connects emerging film talent with production companies seeking crew for short-term engagements, internships, and entry-level positions.
The film industry has a well-documented talent discovery problem: production companies rely on networks rather than structured search, and emerging talent has no reliable way to surface themselves to relevant opportunities. Cineterns was designed to solve this with AI-powered matching.
This is a prototype, not a production deployment. It demonstrates the technical architecture and UX concept for an AI-native talent directory — the core matching logic, profile generation assistance, and opportunity surfacing — at proof-of-concept stage.
The Approach
How I approached this engagement.
Marketplace Architecture
I designed a two-sided marketplace structure — talent profiles on one side, production company opportunities on the other — with AI as the matching layer between them.
AI Profile Assistance
I built an AI-assisted profile creation flow that helps emerging talent articulate their skills and experience in industry-standard terms, improving their discoverability.
Intelligent Matching
I designed the matching algorithm to go beyond keyword search — considering skills, availability, location, experience level, and production type to surface genuinely relevant connections.
Industry Framing
Film industry professionals have specific expectations for how opportunities are framed. I designed the copy architecture and taxonomy around industry-standard terminology.
Onboarding Flow
I designed separate onboarding flows for talent and production companies, each collecting the structured data needed for intelligent matching.
